ClerkWeb
http://clerkweb.house.gov/
Civics/Government teachers may want to include the virtual tour of the house chambers in their lesson plan. Here is a paragraph from a reviewer of this site: "Clerkweb is an online resource representing the activities and concerns of the chief record keeper of the U.S. House of Representatives. Some features already offered by the clerk of the House are: lists of committees and mailing labels for House members, roll call votes since 1990, guidelines for tracking and keeping records during the legislative process, a visual tour of the chambers, a checklist of historical archives for past lawmakers (especially Speakers of the House), and electronic interfaces for House members who need to file certain reports (such as financial disclosures). The site will be most useful for students of the American political system, especially those already familiar with the workings of the House."
