These pictures and explanation below are from a trip to a village about an hour NE of Dhaka to distribute blankets that teachers had contributed money to purchase. These comments are from the donor of the pictures.
The distribution of the blankets was a huge success. We distributed a total of 275 blankets.It was truly a life altering experience. I have thought before about how lucky I am to live in the US in comfort, but when we walked up to the village where people were sitting on the ground waiting for us! Some people ended up walking 7 or 8 miles to this village to collect their blanket. The group of people waiting for us Friday afternoon were a mix of Christians, Muslims, and Hindu.
